The Leitz 1512 is designed for precision work in histology, pathology and materials science. The device uses a manually driven mechanism that guarantees a consistent cutting result. The frame is robust and heavy, which minimizes vibrations during cutting and ensures optimal cutting quality. The microtome features a sophisticated section thickness control system, allowing users to cut precise sections for microscopic analysis. The ergonomic handle ensures ease of use, even during prolonged use. A flexible knife holder allows the use of both standard and disposable knives, depending on the needs of the laboratory. The adjustable blade holder angle adjustment provides control over cut quality, ensuring cuts remain consistently thin and smooth.
